Dubai Creek Tower

The Dubai Creek Tower is a planned project in Dubai that hopes to surpass the incredibly tall and current World’s Tallest Building, the Burj Khalifa.

The Dubai Creek Tower is an immense project and should bring about a whole new collection of world records for Dubai, that is, if Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah Tower doesn’t get there first.

If you’ve ever been to Dubai you know that the iconic silhouette of the Burj Khalifa is visible from almost anywhere in the city, even as far out as the Arabian Ranches and Silicon Oasis, you can still make out the world famous tower and standing up close, it’s absolutely mind blowing to look up and see it soar up through the clouds.

Somehow, the amazing and talented architects working on the Dubai Creek Tower have envisaged a tower even bigger than that and I, for one, simply cannot comprehend it.  I can’t wait until it’s finished.

How will Dubai Creek Tower go down in History?

The Dubai Creek Tower is a proposed project and, as such, hasn’t started yet but has the expected completion date of 2020.  Just in time for Expo 2020 in Dubai.  With an original name of The Tower at Dubai Creek Harbour, the tower was renamed to the catchier Dubai Creek Tower although we very well may see another name change before construction is completed.

The Tower is designed to have a, ‘Beacon of light,’ shooting from the top into the sky of a night, which will certainly be something unique to add to the skyline of Dubai.

A revision to the model for the Dubai Creek Tower was presented in January of 2017 with an increased floor count, height and observation deck height.  In May 2017 the Dubai Creek Tower foundations were laid and construction officially started on the tower itself.  How exciting to be living in Dubai and able to watch as one of the tallest towers in the world is being constructed? Happy Friendship Day Wishes 2018.

The Dubai Creek Tower is rumoured to reach a height of at least 3,045 ft (compared to Dubai’s Burj Khalifa at 2,722 ft) which would replace it as the world’s tallest building, however, Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah Tower may possibly take the title from Dubai completely with a proposed 3,281 ft.  We’ll have to see if Dubai can push the Creek Tower any further.

The Dubai Creek Tower is, first and foremost, designed to be an observation tower.  Guaranteed to present an amazing view from any of its ten expected observation decks, the Dubai Creek Tower will give you a view of Dubai that has never been imagined.  If the Burj Khalifa can sometimes offer views of Iran’s shores when the skies are clear and the tides are low, imagine what an extra 500ft may present to you?

I bet you’ll be able to see all of the fantastic golf courses around the United Arab Emirates and maybe even spot some of your favourite golf courses in Dubai but we’ll all just have to wait and see.
